- Jones, Marc Edmund, Problem Solving by Horary Astrology
(Stanwood, Washington, 1966).
This is perhaps the most valuable of M.E.Jones large astrological
output. It gets the student into the horary tradition by
rational steps, emphasizing at every step those elements
of astrology which are peculiar to this branch of the art.
- Lilly, William, An Introduction to Astrology reprinted
(Hollywood CA, Newcastle Books, 1972).
This William Lilly's most famous work, and the standard
text for the English/American Horary tradition. Pretty much
all Horary work begins here.Absolutely essential.
- Louis, Anthony Horary Astrology: The History and Practice
of Astro-Divination. (St Paul, MINN, Llewellyn, 1991).
An excellent review of past practice, leaning especially
on William Lilly, and containing charts for easy use of
the traditional rulerships, and subrulerships. Probably
the best new book on the subject. Good bibliography.
- Simmonite, W.J. Dr.Horary Astrology edit Earnest A. Grant,
reprint (Washington, D.C. AFA 1950).
This is Simmonite's Horary book updated, and adapted to
the American scene. After Lilly, Simmonite is probably the
most notable practicioner of this art.
