"Katherine
Boehrer died in Seattle, Washington, Saturday morning January
3, 2004 at 8:35 AM PST in Kirkland, Washington, USA, of
complications arising from cancer.
She was born Katherine Hamner in Waco, Texas, on September 25, 1923
and married James Francis Boehrer, of Augusta, Wisconsin, on August
19, 1943. The couple lived in San Angelo, Texas; San Antonio, Texas;
Paris, France; McLean, Virginia and El Paso, Texas. After her husband's
death, Mrs.Boehrer remained in El Paso until 1998, when she moved
to Seattle.
From 1970 until her death, Mrs. Boehrer was a professional astrologer.
She published widely in the field, serving as editor of the journal
“Stellium Quarterly” for over ten years and writing numerous
articles and monographs on astrological subjects. She gave personal
consultations to clients throughout the world. Mrs. Boehrer was known
internationally as the “Declination Lady” because of her
seminal work on the importance of declination in the astrological
chart first expounded in her 1994 book Declination: The Other Dimension.
Mrs. Boehrer was preceded in death by her eldest son Mike Boehrer
and is survived by her daughter, Susan Seeley, of Seattle; her son,
Bruce Boehrer, of Tallahassee, Florida; grandsons John and Nick Seeley;
granddaughters Anne Pearman and Jeanne Seeley and great grandchildren
Suzanne, Lori and Stuart Pearman.
A celebration of her life will be held this week in Seattle, Washington.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society
or the hospice organization of your choice."
